Obey the law
As a player of Deathgame you are still repsonsible for your own actions. We advice all players to respect the laws of their country and not do anytything unlawful while playing.
Murders"Killing" people in the game can only be done with the official weapons of the game. After a "murder" has been comitted both the murderer and the victim must report it on the website immediately.
Game RoundsDeathgame is divided into game rounds. When a round is active you play 24 hours a day, wherever you are, until the round is over. Only participants in the gmae round can be killed.
RespectPlease respect your fellow players and never do anything to put them in harm's way. It's a bad idea to hit a cyclist with a leek or throw apples at a person on horseback.
Never use actual force against another player. You're not allowed to block doors, drag people bodily out of safe zones or hold someone so they can't move.
If you've admitted to being killed or not explicitly disputed them urder when it happened the murder will be considered valid and you will remain dead. The exception is if there's been a serious breach of the rules, such as the murder taking place inside a safe zone, but not for minor details.
Safe ZonesThere are palces where you can neither kill nor be killed by other players. If the place is inside a building the whole building is protected. If it's outside you're protected at the palce where the activity is taking place.
You're not protected while travelling from or to the safe zone.
Safe zone: Schools
School buildings are protected so that people can attend to their education without being distracted by paranoia.
You can attack people outside the building though as long as they're not participating in an active lesson.
Safe zone: Work
During working hours at your well defined place of work you can neither kill nor be killed.
People working from home are protected if they have regular working hours.
Safe zone: Club activity
You're protected at meetings and events hosted by well established organizations of which you are a member.
The requirement is that the activity has an official starting time. You're also protected at the place of the event before and after it takes place.
Examples of these activites would be Sports training, LARPing, board meetings etc.
Safe zone: Holy buildings
You're protected in churches, mosques and temples. Only inside the buildings though, not outside.
Safe zone: Self declared public buildings
Buildings not included above can be made into safe zones provided they're accessible by the public and some form of well established activity takes palce within.
Examples: A store, a restaurant, a town hall
A notice must be placed at each entrance informing the visitors that the place is a safe zone from Deathgame, and who has declared this to be the case.
Only the person chiefly responsible for the activity within the building or the building owner can declare it a safe zone.
If you try to kill someone without engaging them directly in close combat you must leave your contact details. When someone has left their contact details as part of an attempt on your life you must tell your attacker whether or not the attack succeeded.
CheatingDon't cheat. If we find out you did chances are high that you will be kicked out of the current game round or have your account suspended.
If you find out about somebody cheating, please report it immediately.
The following is considered cheating:
- Breaking the Rules
- Lying about ingame events, such as being killed, not seeing monkeys, committing suicide etc.
- To supply false personal details about your name, age etc.
The final say about whether or not someone died lies with the Game Masters.
They possess divine wisdom and are never wrong, even when they are.
Please try to minimize your impact on game events if you're not playing.
You are free to provide players with information about opponents, placed traps/monkeys etc. but please refrain interfering with either players or game objects.
Posing with fruit or acting as a decoy to confuse players is not allowed. If you do and a player takes advantage of this it will be considered cheating.
